We take privacy seriously — especially because MoodBlobs is designed to be kid-friendly and many of our community members are families. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We don't sell personal data. Period.
We do not collect: birthdate, Social Security numbers, phone numbers (unless you give us one for support), or any precise geolocation.
MoodBlobs follows the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.
If you believe your child under 13 has given us information, contact us at privacy@moodblobs.comand we'll delete it promptly.
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies:
You can clear cookies anytime through your browser settings. Some features (like remembering your vote choices) won't work without them.
We share data with a small set of trusted service providers, only as needed to operate the site:
We do not sell personal data. We do not share data with advertisers.
Social platforms (TikTok & Instagram).Brand Rebel Media operates the official MoodBlobs accounts and publishes our own content to them through each platform's official developer tools: the TikTok Login Kit and Content Posting API, and the Instagram API. These integrations handle only ourbrand accounts — the access tokens for our accounts and the videos, images, and captions we choose to publish. They do not collect, access, or store personal data about you, your TikTok or Instagram account, or your activity on those platforms. Anything you do on TikTok or Instagram (viewing, liking, commenting, following) is governed by those platforms' own privacy policies, not this one.
You can, at any time:
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@moodblobs.com from the address associated with your account. We respond within 30 days.
California residents (CCPA) and EU/UK residents (GDPR) have additional specific rights, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
We keep your data only as long as we need it:
We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS site-wide, encrypted database connections), access controls, and regular reviews. No system is perfect — if a breach affects your data, we'll notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
We rely on the following lawful bases when processing your personal data:
MoodBlobs is operated from the United States. If you access the site from outside the U.S., the personal data we collect will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. or in any other country where our sub-processors operate. Where required, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent UK transfer mechanisms to safeguard cross-border transfers. A copy of the transfer mechanism is available on request to privacy@moodblobs.com.
California residents have these specific rights:
To exercise these rights, email privacy@moodblobs.com. We will verify your identity using the email associated with your account.
Shine the Light (California Civil Code § 1798.83): we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid opt-out request for "sale" and "sharing" of personal information under applicable U.S. state laws, where required. We do not currently respond to generic browser "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals because there is no common industry standard for them.
We use the following sub-processors to operate the service. We update this list when we add or remove a vendor.
Because some MoodBlobs visitors are under 13, when an under-13 child is identified we require a parent or legal guardian to complete signup on their behalf. Our verifiable parental consent method is: (a) the parent enters their own email and confirms age 18+; (b) the parent receives a confirmation email and must click a verification link before any non-essential processing begins; (c) we retain the consent record alongside the child's mood/team information. Parents can review, modify, or delete their child's information at any time by emailing privacy@moodblobs.com.
If we update this policy materially, we'll change the "Last updated" date and, for significant changes, email registered users in advance.
Email privacy@moodblobs.com. We aim to respond within 5 business days for general questions, faster for urgent matters (data breach, account deletion request).
